This reverse shield is a Step 1 softening-control tool. It keeps lashes relatively flat during processing and is not intended to create the final lifted curve. After Step 1, follow the treatment system and transfer the softened lashes to the appropriate shaping shield or rod for the next stage.

1. Clean the lashes and eye area, then dry completely. Remove oil, makeup and residue.
2. Position the reverse shield so its curved edge follows the lash-line area without touching the eye surface or waterline.
3. Arrange the lashes flat across the working surface according to the compatible Step 1 method.
4. Apply Step 1 softening lotion only to the zones stated by the treatment system.
5. Process for the exact time specified by the lotion directions while monitoring placement.
6. Remove the Step 1 product and reverse shield as directed.
7. Continue with the appropriate shaping shield or rod and subsequent treatment stage.
8. Clean, disinfect and dry the reverse shield before storage.

The shield is designed for compatible Step 1 workflows that do not use lash lift adhesive to secure lashes during softening. This does not mean every lash lift system follows the same method. Use the shield only when the selected lotion and complete treatment directions support this placement technique.

Apply only the amount and placement zone specified for the selected softening lotion. Do not assume one processing time for every client or formula. Natural lash condition, product directions and the complete treatment method determine the correct processing procedure.

1. Remove all visible lotion and residue promptly after use.
2. Clean and disinfect using a method suitable for reusable silicone lash tools.
3. Rinse if required by the cleaning product directions.
4. Dry completely and inspect for tears, distortion, staining or persistent residue.
5. Store the dry shield in the included case away from heat and direct sunlight.

Replace the shield if it is damaged, distorted or cannot be fully cleaned.
