1. Confirm that tape is appropriate for the intended step of the selected lash procedure.
2. Clean and dry the external skin where the tape will be positioned.
3. Tear or cut a section that fits the treatment area without extending toward the eye surface.
4. Reduce excessive tack on a clean gloved hand if required by the professional protocol.
5. Place the tape gently while keeping it clear of the eye surface and waterline.
6. Check that the client can close the eye comfortably and that no skin or hair is being pulled.
